Cathy has over 20 years of experience in healthcare services management. During her position as Regional Manager for Barnes Hospital, Cathy oversaw several physician practices. As Regional Administrator for Novamed, she oversaw operations of the physician practices, as well as the ambulatory surgery centers and optical shops in the Metro St. Louis and Illinois areas. Under her direction, a state-of-the-art refractive surgery center was also designed and opened in St. Louis, MO.
Cathy is Founder and President of Excellentia Advisory Group, a consulting and development company serving both the surgical industry through ASC’s as well as surgical hospitals and office-based surgical practices. Cathy’s passion has been teaching compliance to CMS Conditions of Coverage, AAAHC accreditation, and assisting ASCs with their survey readiness.

Are you ready for your next Life Safety Code survey? This 1+ ½ hour presentation will assist you with a review of the requirements. We will also explore the current waivers in place that you may want to adopt for your ASC and how to do so. As we go through the requirements, you will be introduced to the K tags.
Some of the handouts will include the tools you will need to be successful: CMS Form 2786U, CMS memos, NFPA instructions for generators and sprinklers, as well as forms for you to utilize for your required drills and the latest Emergency Preparedness Checklist revised 12/13 by HHS with their proposal.
All ASCs are required to comply with the requirements of the 2000 Edition of the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code. This one and half hour session will cover these areas:

- *Emergency Drills
- *Exit signs
- *Fire extinguishers & pull stations
- *Fire rating for doors & walls
- *Gas cylinder storage requirements

- *Operational requirements for maintenance, testing and documentation
- *Waiting room requirements; you will get a copy of the CMS memo

*Have you completed a Hazard Analysis as part of your emergency preparedness? We'll give you an user-friendly format to get you started.
*We'll cover the current "hot list" of deficiencies as we go through the standards so you are not caught off guard.
*Evaluations forms for your required drills will be supplied as part of this webinar.
*Complete instructions for your placement of alcohol-based hand sanitizers will be reviewed.
